New Build Works

1. Project: Glasgow Primary Schools - "Primary Visions " - Glasgow City Council
2. Main Contractor: City Building (Glasgow) LLP

We were privileged to be awarded the contract for the supply and installation of all floorcoverings and accessories on the above project. The Framework Agreement with City Building (Glasgow) LLP involved 18 new build Primary Schools. Works commenced in May 2004 and are scheduled for completion in March 2010. They have an approximate value of £2,000,000. Approximately 75,000m² of floorcoverings will be installed together with all relevant preparatory works including surface dpms. The schools concerned were:

  • St Vincents Primary School
  • East Easterhouse Primary School
  • Drumoyne Primary School
  • St Benedicts Primary School
  • St Fillans Primary School
  • Easthall Primary School
  • Quarrybrae Primary School
  • St Bernards Primary School
  • Govan Primary School
  • John Paul II Primary School
  • St Constantines Primary School
  • St Augustines Primary School
  • Our Lady of the Peace Primary School
  • Househillmuir Primary School
  • Tinto Primary School

An approximate split of the materials installed were:

  • 30,000m² of linoleum
  • 10,000m² of sheet safety vinyl
  • 35,000m² of carpet
  • 400m² of primary and secondary entrance matting
  • 1,500m of stair nosings
