Edinburgh Schools
New Build Works
1. Project: Edinburgh Schools - "Achieving Excellence PPP2" - Axiom/Edinburgh City Council
2. Main Contractor: Laing O'Rourke
We were awarded the contract for the supply and installation of all floorcoverings and accessories on the above project. This involved 6 new build High Schools and 1 new build Primary School. Also included was a community facility within a joint campus. Works commenced in August 2008 and are scheduled for completion in December 2009. They have an approximate value of £2,500,000. Approximately 90,000m² of floorcoverings are to be installed including all the relevant preparatory works. The schools concerned are:
- Bonaly Primary School
- Broughton High School
- Holy Rood High School
- Craigroyston High School
- Tynecastle High School
- Forresters & St Augustines High School Joint Campus.
An approximate split of the materials to be installed using products from the approved Laing O'Rourke supply chain is:
- 30,000m² of linoleum
- 25,000m² of sheet safety vinyl
- 35,000m² of carpet tiles
- 600m² of primary and secondary entrance matting
- 4,000m of stair nosings
